Q. Brian, ten years ago to the day you made your professional PGA TOUR debut right here at the John Deere Classic. Explain this full circle moment and how meaningful it is.
BRIAN CAMPBELL: Right now it's surreal. I don't know what's going on. But, yeah, it all started here as an amateur, my first invite here. I've loved it ever since.
I have no words. I mean, to be let alone in a playoff and to finish it off this way, it's just been amazing.
Q. Let's talk about that playoff. We were all wondering why you weren't going out to hit some balls before the playoff. Clearly the mindset paid off. Take us into that decision making as you sat for 40 minutes?
BRIAN CAMPBELL: Yeah, it's grueling out here. We're sweating. It's just hot. I think we really needed to take a break, get some water, rather than go out and beat balls and putt for who knows how many minutes.
It was really just a team effort to get some rest and get mentally ready.
Q. So well played on the first playoff hole. You know how hard it is to win out here and also know how hard it is to stay out here. It took you seven years to get back to the PGA TOUR after losing it after your rookie year. What's the advice you would give your younger self as you grinded it out now as a multiple time winner out here?
BRIAN CAMPBELL: Oh, man, the advice I would give is just you really got to dig deep and trust yourself. It's easier said than done, but what worked for me a lot was trusting a lot of things I used to do when I was a kid. You know, getting back to enjoying the game and loving the game for what it is and just having fun with it.
